Trentino

Trentino lies in the Southern part of the Italy region called Trentino South Tyrol, whose most important city is Trento. Hotel Tyrol Dolomites trentino is rich in history and culture; in winter, it´s possible to ski in famous mountain resorts such as Madonna di Campiglio, Pinzolo, Pejo, Pozza di Fassa, Canazei. The Mediterranean climate fans can reserve their holidays in Italy on the Garda Lake, also in winter. Trentino offers also many occasions to know the wonders of its mountain landscapes, thanks to its protected areas: the Stelvio National Park, the Adamello-Brenta Natural Park, the Paneveggio- Pale di San Martino Natural Park, and many more smaller protected areas.

Sommavida

Trentino is very rich in culture and legends, which are still nowadays a very important part of the mountains folklore. An example is the Aurona legend; near the mountain resort of Canazei you can still see reddish lava rocks. A long time ago, under the red rock there was the very rich Aurona kingdom, where gold and precios stones were heaped even on the streets; but its inhabitants were very unhappy, because their king sold the possibility of seeing the sun and the outside world against wealth and power. Once a lamp fell and cause a small hole in the rocky wall; one of the oldest Aurona inhabitants peeped in the hole and started telling everyone the wonders of the outside world, but he remained blind. The hole was repaired, but the stories where more and more told in the whole kingdom, until they reached Princess Sommavida´s ears. She let the old man tell her where the hole was, she sat by it and started crying for help. King Odolghes came to free Sommavida and its people and after destroying the door leading to the Aurona kingdom, Odolghes´ sword was turned into the purest and most shining gold that was ever seen.
